Samuel Wiley of Fairfield, were united in marriage on Sunday afternoon, April 27, 1946, at 3:30 o'clock. The wedding took place at the "Little Brown Church" at Nashau, Iowa, with the Rev. Mr. Hanscom reading the ceremony. Mrs. Hanscom played at the organ and sang "Our Wedding Day." For her wedding attire the bride wore a white suit with white accessories and a corsage of red and cream roses. Janet Davis, sister of the bride, and Wilbert Smith of Keosauqua were present for the ceremony. Miss Davis wore an aqua suit with white accessories and a corsage of white and red roses. At the close of the ceremony, Mr. & Mrs. Wiley rang the church bell, a tradition of the Little Brown Church. Mrs. Wiley is a graduate of Keosauqua High School (1946) and before her marriage was employed in the dental office of Dr. Richard Perkins. She will continue in this position. The groom is a graduate of the Keosauqua High School, of the class of 1936, and is owner of the Wiley Feed & Grain Co., in Keosauqua, and has an interest in the Smith & Wiley Trucking Co. After a wedding trip to Kansas City, Missouri, Mr. & Mrs. Wiley returned to Keosauqua where they will make their home. They have an apartment in the Grant Higdon home.
