Watkin's Products handled spices, patent medicine, cleaning materials and a general line of household products. Irven loved fishing, both saltwater and freshwater. He died of a heart attack at age 73 while on a fishing trip near Asford, WA.
He was a member of the Modern Woodmen of the World and the Ancient Order of Foresters.
