Biographical Information for "Edd" Thomas Edward Syfert	1862 Note: Thomas "Edd" Edward Syfert Obituary: Birmingham, Ia., Nov. 21 - Funeral services of Thomas Edward Syfert, 78, longtime resident of Birmingham who died at his home, were held Tuesday afternoon in Birmingham Presbyterian church. The Rev. H. C. Irvine officiated. Interment was in Winchester cemetery. Catcott Funeral Home was in charge. Mr. Syfert was born April 6, 1862. On Jan. 26, 1888, he was married to Mary Rebecca Sherod, who died in 1935. To them were born four children, Pearl, who died in 1897; Leo, who died in 1918; Walter, who died in 1935, and Mrs. Edith Reneker of Birmingham, who survives. Surviving also are Mr. Reneker and one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Hazel Syfert of Blandinsville, Ill., and six grandchildren. Mr. Syfert was a member of the Presbyterian church.
