About 1935 Delmar graduated from Pomona High School, Pomona, CA. He served with the US Navy A.F. & A.R., AMM2, from 23 Jul 1942 -14 Nov 1945, stationed at Pensacola/Milton, Jacksonville, FL. He was employed 6 Dec 1945 - 23 Apr 1979 as a final inspector at Ontario General Electric Flat Iron Plant, Ontario, CA.

Delmar lived in Ontario, CA, until after Helen died; in 1997 he moved with his daughter, Roberta, to Port Orchard, WA.

Obituary:
"Delmar D. Loofbourrow, 84, of Bremerton died of natural causes April 19, 2001, at Bremerton Health and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born April 7, 1917, in Oklahoma to John and Molly ‏(Barker)‏ Loofbourrow. He graduated from Pomona High School in Pomona, Calif.
Mr. Loofbourrow served in the Navy from 1942 to 1945. He later was a final inspector at the G.E. Iron Plant.
He is survived by a daughter, Roberta Jean of Port Orchard, and a brother, Vercille ‏[Vercill]‏ of Pomona.
A private service will be held. Inurnment will take place at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, WA. Local arrangements are under the direction of Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home at Rill Chapel."
