Kenneth, Cecile and Robert lived in Wickenburg, AZ, for about a year while Robert "Bobbie" was recovering from an illness during his teen years. Kenneth worked on a sheep farm while there. They all returned to Iowa, then, to the family homestead in Keosauqua. After graduating from Stockport High School in 1955, Robert entered the Iowa National Guard, and began to farm fulltime. Robert Craig Barker Obituary
Robert C. Barker, 81 of Keosauqua, Iowa died at 1:20 pm Thursday, November 3, 2016 at University of Iowa Hospital, Iowa City. He was born March 4, 1935 in Keosauqua to Kenneth and Cecile Miller Barker and married Sandra Lynn Lane August 16, 1970 in the Little Brown Church, Nashua, Iowa.

Bob grew up in Stockport and Keosauqua, graduating from Stockport High School in 1955. He spent all of his adult life in Van Buren County on the farm. Bob enjoyed farming and hunting and was an active member of the Miller Chapel Cemetery board, and had served in the National Guard.

In addition to his wife, Sandra of Keosauqua, he is survived by a daughter, Christin "Christy" Ann Barker Wiley of Keosauqua and two grandchildren, Caitlin and Colton Wiley of Keosauqua. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 A.M. Monday November 7, 2016 at Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua with Larry Shipley officiating. Visitation with family will be Sunday from 2-4 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in Miller Chapel Cemetery, northeast of Keosauqua. ******
