"The Last Will and Testament of Warwick Hockaday dec'd was presented in Court by Mary Hockaday, the Executrix therein named which was proved by the Oaths of John Brooks and William Riddlehurst the Witnesses thereto and on the Motion of the said Executrix who made Oath according to Law Certificate is granted her for obtaining a Probat thereof in due form she giving Security whereupon she together with John Middlehurst and Wm. Finch her Securities entered into and acknowledged their Bond in the penalty of Five Hundred Pounds with Conditions according to Law." .
2. A LAND CONVEYANCE DEED EXECUTED IN CHARLES CITY COUNTY COURT BY WARWICK HOCKADAY'S HEIRS ON JANUARY 2, 1769 CONVEYING WARWICK HOCKADAY (DECEASED) PROPERTY TO ONE JOHN MINGE OF CHARLES CITY COUNTY, VA. ALSO REFERENCES WARWICK HOCKADAY'S WILL DATED SEPTEMBER 10, 1757. .

"This Indenture made the Second day of January In the year of our Lord Christ One thousand Seven hundred and Sixty nine Between Warwick Hockaday and Samuel Hockaday the sons of Warwick Hockaday deceased of the one part and John Minge of Charles City Co., Va. of the other part Witnesseth that the said Warwick Hockaday and Samuel Hockaday for & in consideration of the sum of Five Shillings current money of Virginia to them in hand paid the Receipt whereof they do hereby acknowledge Have Given granted Bargained and Sold and by these presents do for themselves and their heirs do give, grant, bargain and Sell convey and confirm unto the said John Minge his heirs and assignes forever one Certain tract or parcell of land & plantation in the County of Charles City of two Hundred acres more or less formerly the property of the deceased Warwick Hockaday whereon he lived and which by his last will and Testament bearing the date the Tenth day of September One thousand Seven hundred & fifty Seven he gave to his wife Mary Hockaday all his estate both Real & personal for her to dispose of as She thought proper among his Children viz. James Hockaday, Elizabeth Hockaday, Mary Hockaday now the wife of Thompson Bristow, William Hockaday, Warwick Hockaday and Samuel Hockaday, the said tract of land being bounded as followeth viz: Beginning at a Corner Poplar on the old tree Run thence along a line of William Willcox & [thesd] (sp.) Warwick Hockaday dec'd South two & an half degrees East, one hundred and three Chain & an half to two pines marked inwards thence along a new line of marked trees of Isaac Hills East, two degrees north, ninety two and an half Chain to two pines & Hickory marked inwards thence along a line of Edward Cockes, North two degrees West Seventy Seven chain to an old Corner tree of John Brookes and the said Hockaday thence along a line of said Brookes West twenty two & an half degrees North, Seventy one Chain to a Corner Butterwood upon the old tree Run thence along the said Run as it turneth & windeth to the poplar at the beginning which tract of land the said John Minge did purchase of Mary Hockaday, Widow, James Hockaday, Elizabeth Hockaday, Thompson Bristow & Mary his wife and William Hockaday for the valuable consideration of one hundred Pounds Current money of Virginia as by deed duly executed in the General Court the twenty-ninthday of October 1765 will appear together with the Reversion and reversions remainder & Remainders and all the Estate Right title and Interest Claim."
