Some articles state that it was platted in 1888, laid out as a town in 1892 and incorporated in 1902. The railroad got to Stockport 31 Dec 1881. I would have been born in that house too and I kind of have the same problem as to state whether Hillsboro or Stockport. This was still on the Hillsboro rural route in 1931 and I don't know when it changed to the Stockport route. I finally just put Cedar Twp., rural Stockport although I am sure someone will find somewhere back in time I said Hillsboro and then they will be confused. At least it makes us use our brains and be good detectives." Ramona Carter Clark
