Crawford County Democrat Thursday, March 15, 1877--"Uncle Jess Lynch, age 82, one of the oldest settlers of this county, died at his residence, some 7 miles west of Leavenworth, Saturday night. He was very old and suffered tearfully with pneumonia which at last wrestled his life from him."
