Shared Note: - (Research):John and Elizabeth (Cellars) Barker's first born child was Susannah, born 10 Feb 1841, Kilgore, Carroll, OH In July 1991, I received additional information from Cousin Wanda (Barker) Sheets. John, Elizabeth and daughter, Susannah, came from Carroll County, OH, to IA, in 1837, purchased 80 acres of land in Wash. Twp., Van Buren County, IA. Their son, James, was born 1844 in Van Buren County, IA.
Hearsay has it that John died of gun shot wounds only 6 years after his marriage and 3 months after the birth of his son, James. (Wanda (Barker) Sheets, 1 Jul 1991)

John was possibly born in Ohio; needs more research. John came to Iowa from London, Carroll, OH, after his marriage and after the birth of his first child, Susannah (1841); he purchased 80 acres of land in Washington Twp., Van Buren County, IA. Hear-say has it that John died of gunshot wounds only six years after his marriage and about 8 months before the birth of his son, James. Source: Find A Grave, online.
