Shared Note: - Source: Obituary posted on facebook, 4-27-16, by her daughter, Tracy Stroud Walkup. Judith Ann Plautz was born to August Edward and Lena Paslay Plautz on July 5th 1940; the sixth of six children. She was called home on April 22nd, 2016 and will be laid to rest in the place that she remembered so fondly from her childhood; Wathena, KS. Judy lived her life to the fullest and wasn't afraid to follow her dreams wherever they would take her; from the strawberry fields of Wathena where she worked as a child to the mountains of Wyoming, where she and her husband raised horses, hunted, fished and made life-long friends. Her marriage with Herman Lee Stroud of Forest City, MO produced four children, all of whom survive her. Wayne Stroud and wife Debbie of Forest City, MO and three daughters Roseann Egbert and husband Stanley of Tarkio, MO, Vickie Graham and husband Harvey of Montechelo, UT and Tracy Walkup and Husband Russell Howerton of Boonville, MO. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Casey Wallace, David Wallace, Joshua Egbert, Jason Egbert, Bobby Graham, Heather Graham and Andrew Walkup, in addition to 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, her second husband, Eldon Edward Marx, brothers Edward Plautz and John Plautz, sisters Margaret Plautz Cordonier Conn and Alice Plautz Taylor, her son-in-law Michael James Walkup and her grandson Daniel James Walkup. Funeral Service: 11:00 A.M. Friday, April 29, 2016 at the Harman-Rohde Funeral Home in Wathena, Kansas. Visitation: 10:00 A.M. Friday, 1 hour prior to service. Burial: Bellemont Cemetery, Wathena, Kansas. Memorials: Breast Cancer.
