Robert Nolan Boyd

Bob, 79, passed away at his home in Olympia on Tuesday, October 31, 2006. He was born in Basset, Virginia on July 18, 1927. Bob served in the United States Army for 20-plus years, retiring in 1973. While serving in the military in California, he met and married his wife, Velma Pearl Durham. After many years of moving with the Army, they settled in the Olympia area, where Bob worked for the North Thurston School District, retiring in 1992. Bob is survived by his brother, Harry Boyd, of Patrick Springs, Virginia; sons, Lyle Wane ‏(Sue)‏ and Dale Wesley ‏(Karen)‏, of Olympia, Randy Nolan, of Salem, Oregon, and Donald Isaac ‏(Patti)‏, of Puyallup, Washington; daughter, Anita Lynn ‏(Dewey)‏, of Olympia; 17 grandchildren; and 25 great- grandchildren.
