Shared Note: - Isaiah PANCOASTIsaiah was a Quaker and a member of the Mount Holly Friends Meeting when he married about 1787 In the spring of 1790 Isaiah and Leticia 'Lettice', his wife, left NJ and went west to Fayette Co. , PA, settling near Uniontown. Here most of their children were born. Abt. 1805, went west again and settled in Fayette Co., OH. He selected 2000 acres of federal land in Perry Town ship on Deer Creek and erected a small grist mill. This mill was soon rebuilt as more settlers located nearby. Here he laid out the town of Waterloo. This later became the village of Pancoastburg. An old mill stone along the creek and next to the original marker, marks his grave.
