Obituary:
Wilbur Eugene Redd, 90, of Half Way died Saturday, Oct. 21, 2006, in Citizens Memorial Hospital, Bolivar, following a lengthy illness.

He was born Dec. 15, 1915, in Polk County, the son of James Edwin and Minnie Ann Peterson Redd. He married Beulah Mae Blair on Feb. 2, 1955, in Burns, and to this union one daughter and three sons were born. He was a U. S. Army WWII veteran.

His parents precede him in death.

He is survived by his wife, Beulah, of the home; three sons and their wives, Ed and Kathy Redd, Robert and Mary Redd, all of Half Way, and Lyle and Trudy Redd of Buffalo; one daughter, Ruth Ussery of Elkland; one brother, Denzil Redd and wife Lorene of Half Way, one sister, Verian Shadwick of Half Way; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. today ‏(Wednesday)‏ in the Reed Cemetery with Pastor Russell Crouch officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, Oct. 24, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Pitts Chapel of Bolivar.
