Harry Cooper Kirby was born a few months after Harry Earl left. He was born in 1926. Grandpa and Grandma Cooper helped raise him during his first 3 years. Clarence was his favorite uncle. Clarence employed Dad during Dad's teen years. Dad joined the Navy at age 17 and and served during the tail end of the war. Kay, Caroline and Dad all moved to Northern California in the late 50's-early 60's and lived out the remainder of their lives in Humboldt County, Ca.

December 16, 1926- December 27, 2011 Harry was born to Isabelle Jane Cooper and Harry Earl Kirby December 16, 1926. Harry served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was a Seaman 1st Class. He was proud of his service in the Pacific. He was coxswain of an A.P.A. that delivered the troops in the invasion of Iwo Jima, Okinawa and other islands in the Pacific. He said he volunteered for the Navy at age 17 because he did not want to sleep in a foxhole. He was Honorably discharged in March 1946. He is survived by his wife Ellen of 65 yrs. He is survived by five living children: Daughters; Kathleen Gilman, Loretta Farnsworth, & Karen Mitchell. Sons; Harry Cooper Kirby Jr. & Dennis William Kirby. He is also survived by many grand children and great grand children. Harry was preceded in death by his son Lynn Cooper Kirby. He was proud of being married to his wife for 65 years. He was proud to be a WWII Veteran. He was proud to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Married Dec 28th 1946 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Married for Time & Eternity on Jan 17, 1956 in the Los Angeles L.D.S Temple. Services will be held in Washington State on Saturday at 1:00 pm at Evergreen Memorial Park in Enumclaw, WA.
