MARKHAM -- Service for John Melvin Markham, 89, of 23816 Chestnut Avenue, who died Saturday at his home, will be held tommorrow at 11 a.m. in Mottell's Chapel. Rev. Isaac McRae will officiate. Interment will be in the Westminster Memorial Park.

Mr. Markham, who was born in Charmont, Iowa, came to Long Beach four years ago from San Francisco. He owned a decorating business and was a member of Painters Union 19 of San Francisco.

Surviving are the widow, Margaret, of Long Beach; daughter, Mrs. Geraldine Martin, Tripoli, Iowa; sisters, Mrs. May Strehlow and Mrs. Lucy Post, Los Angeles, and Pauline Markham of Iowa, and brothers, Harry, Iowa and Frank, San Pedro.
