1941 (27 Aug): "Arthur Grieves of Beatty has a contract for taking up rails from the old RR beds leading from various mines to the Bradshaw Mill. He has a crew of 7 men and the rails are being transported to San Bernardino, CA. Grieves suffered a painful injury to 2 fingers Sat., but after receiving medical attention was able to be out again." When William Arthur Chester Grieves was born on August 27, 1918, in Tonopah, NV, his father, William, was 39 and his mother, Eva, was 30. He was married three times and had two sons and one daughter.
