George Parman, whose home was at 455 Lake St., in Reno, died on Sunday at a local hospital where he had been ill for seven days. He was 84 years of age, and had been a resident of this community for the last quarter of a century.
A native of Sutter county, Calif., where he was born May 28, 1867, Mr. Parman was a retired stockman.
The body will be accompanied to Eagleville, Calif., for services and burial, with Ross-Burke Co., in charge of local arrangements.
Mr. Parman was the father of Lawrence Parman of Weeks, Vern and Harold Parman of Lake City, Calif., and Mrs. Alice Grieves and May Parman, both of Reno. Also surviving are several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

LAST RITES ARE HELD TODAY FOR PARMAN
Last rites were held in Eagleville this afternoon for George R. Parman , 84, of Reno, Nevada who passed away there Sunday.
Parman was born at Knight's Landing, Sutter county, California, March 28, 1867, the son of Henry and Elener Parman. The family moved to Surprise Valley in 1871, settling in the Cottonwood Creek district where he grew to manhood. He was a member of the Baptist church.
He married Jessie May Wing of Loyalton, California, April 13, 1896. She preceded him on death in 1938.
Parman retired from the stock business 15 years ago and made his home in Reno where he lived until his death. Several brothers, sisters and two infant sons preceded him in death.
Survivors include four sons, Lawrence of Weeks, Nevada; Vern and Ralph of Gerlach, Nevada and Harold of Lake City; two daughters, Mrs. Alice Grieves and May Parman of Reno; six grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Charles McCalmon officiated at the service with Kerr Mortuary handling funeral arrangements.
