Shared Note: - My great-aunt, Rachel (Liliger) Ringer and one of her sons was listed in the 1910 Census as living in Goldfield in a rented house that she ran as a rooming house. Address was 427 Oak St. She eventually moved back to Missouri, but her son, Ralph Ringer, continued to live in the Goldfield/Tonopah area through the 1920's. In 1917 he was employed by Goldfield Consolidated Mines Company as an assayer. Then, he enlisted in the Army, served through WW I. He returned to the area, and he was listed in the 1920 Census in Tonopah. He was married and employed there as an assayer's helper. My mother, Eva G. Loofbourrow Hockaday, told me that Rachel outlived her sons, and her husband. MHK
Rachel was in San Francisco, CA, during the big 1907 earthquake; she helped care for the injured.
1910 US Census: R. Ringer (Rachel) and son Ralph were renting at 427 Oak St., Goldfield, Esmaralda, NV; had a rooming house.
1930 Census, 8 Apr, St. Joseph, Buchanan, MO, found Aunt Rachel, 60, widowed, living with Charley and May & family. MHK 28 Oct 2005 Listed as Kinger.

Cousin Herman Stroud told me that he took his mother, Lillie Hockaday Stroud, to Aunt Rachel's funeral in St. Joseph, MO. She lived to age 93. Rachel had been living in a two-story house there, living upstairs and rented out the downstairs' rooms. Talked with Herman today, 27 May 2005. MHK
Rachel not listed as buried in St. Joseph Mem. Pk., Cem., St. Joseph, Buchanan, MO, USA; assume she is buried at Worthwine/Liliger/Felix Family Cemetery with grave stone marked simply "Grandmother".
