Dorothy passed on to join the Lord on May 28th at midnight and was and is at peace.
When John and Molly Loofbourrow left Iowa to move to California in 1920, both Molly and her newly married daughter Blanche were pregnant. Arriving in California, Molly gave birth to Vercill in October and Dorothy was born to Blanche on March 27, 1921. Dorothy was the first grandchild of John and Molly.
Services for Dorothy were held Monday at 10am in Enid Oklahoma, attended by close family and friends.

Dorothy Blanche (Jones) Tritschler was born March 27, 1921, in Vallejo, California to Leonard Elwood and Ella Blanche (Loofbourrow) Jones and passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2011, in Enid. She was the first born and had two younger sisters, Evelyn and Jewel, and also two half- brothers, Ray Kirby and Richard Jones. Leonard and Blanche divorced and Leonard married Adela (Della) Moehle. In 1933, Dorothy moved with her family to Oklahoma, where a third sister, Veldina was born. When Dorothy was 14, she moved to Tulsa to live with her aunt and uncle, where she graduated from Tulsa Central in 1939. After graduation she went by train to Washington, D.C. and worked at the Pentagon.
Being lonesome for her mother she hitch hiked to California, and after spending time with her mother, she returned to Enid. Times were tough but she got a job with Beechcraft in Kansas as a rosie the riveter, aiding in the war efforts. She returned to Enid, and began working at a local theater where she met Harold Tritschler. They were married on June 30, 1946, in Enid.
Dorothy was a hard worker, helping out on the family farm, milking cows, mending fences, and raising gardens. She loved to sew and make quilts. She made a lot of her own clothes and several quilts for relatives. Dorothy loved life and being around people. She had a heart of gold and was always helping those in need especially family and friends. She was quite a talented lady and we will miss hearing her sing while playing her organ. I am glad she was my mom, and I love her very much.
She is survived by her son George (Ruby) Tritschler of Enid; four granddaughters Lanee (Jeff) Anderson and children Alissia, Kailey, and Kressa Hart of Waukomis, Sheri (Brian) Eilert and children Andrew, Logan, Emily and Daniel of Beloit, KS, Jeanne (Chris) Forman and children Samuel, Lucas, and Isaac of Moore, Misty (Dion) Hayes and children Taylor, Kinsey and Grayson of Wylie, TX; one brother Ray (Margaret) Kirby of North Ridge, CA; and two pen pals Nettie Moyer and Lida Grief.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, husband Harold, daughter Lou Ann, son Ivan, sisters Evelyn, Jewel, Veldina and brother Richard.
